Directions:
We are located 30km outside Kampala’s borders (40 km from its centre).

Public Transport from Kampala:
Take a taxi (matatu) from the new taxi park in Kampala (or Natete park) to “Mpigi” (cost: 4000 UGX). Depending on the traffic, it will take you 45min to 1 ½ hours. At the final stop (Mpigi Town Roundabout) take a Bodaboda motorcycle taxi to “SINA” (cost: 2000 UGX). If the driver does not know SINA, tell him to drive you to the UPDF barracks, you will see us a few 100 meters from the barracks.

Public transport coming from Masaka (or coming from the West down Masaka-Kampala Road):
Tell the driver or conductor to drop you off at the junction of Mpigi Town. Take a bodaboda from here to “SINA” (cost 2000 UGX).

Uber:
The uber app works to reach us. Type in “Social Innovation Academy”. From downtown Kampala, you will be charged about 15 – 25 USD. From Entebbe Airport about 35 USD.

Self Driving:
Branch off from Masaka-Kampala Road at Mpigi Town, pass the town round-about following the signposts to Nsamizi Training Institute of Social Development, pass the institute’s main gate and after a few more meters, you will see a green signpost on your right for SINA. Follow it, take a right turn here diagonal up the hill, and follow the road for another 500 meters. Then you will see us and plastic bottles houses. If you do get lost, ask people to direct you
the UPDF barracks. SINA is located a few 100 meters before them.

From Entebbe:
We are 30 km away from Entebbe (and the airport). There are three ways how to drive:
– Passing through Kampala (70km total, which is on good roads but with a lot of traffic)
– passing through dirt roads (50Km)
– taking the Entebbe-Kasanje Ferry (30 km, dirt roads) is the shortest way but only possible during daylight.
All three ways require you to follow google maps or ask locals on the way, as directions would be too complicated.
